David Raitt comes from a genetic line of musical heritage. His father John and sister Bonnie Raitt are both international mega-stars. David has 16 albums to his name and has recorded and performed with multitudes of international artists including his sister Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Thackery.

David Raitt and Jimmy Thackery recorded the critically acclaimed album That's It in 2000. This album featured horn work by Mic Gillette, of Tower of Power fame, as well as vocal additions by Bonnie Raitt.

David splits his time between California and Pescadero, BCS in the lower Baja, Mexico, where he writes and records in his studio. It was in Mexico that David encountered The Baja Boogie Band. In April, 2012 the band performed at the Cerritos Beach Baja Festival headlined by Ky Mani Marley. They have been touring and recording together since, recently headlining the Big Sky Blues Fest in Montana. See the You Tube link below for the band's performance of Watch Your Back Baby, as well as other recent live performances.

audienceQuote: "David Raitt and The Baja Boogie Band headlined The Big Sky Blues Festival and within the first few songs the audience was crowded around the stage, the band wowed them with their smooth style of Funky, Blues, Rock." Lorne Riddell, promoter, Big Sky Blues Fest. August 4, 2012

Dave Hutcheson hails from the Northwest and has performed over 3000 shows internationally, with four albums recorded and produced. Dave was a core member of  "The Salt Creek Band" which signed and recorded two albums with CBO records in Nashville, Tennessee. The songs "Moonlight" and "Barndancin" both charted on Billboard and Cashbox. Moonlight debuted with the highest bullet ever recorded at the time on the Indie charts.

The success of these albums gave the band an opportunity to perform special guest spots and on stage with the likes of Black Oak Arkansas, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Merle Haggard, Earl Scruggs Revue, Molly Hatchet, Vince Gill, Hank Williams Jr., Charlie Daniels Band, Alabama, Sawyer Brown, etc. to crowds of over 25,000 fans.

Quote:  "David Raitt and The Baja Boogie Band engaged the audience from the first song through the encore. This was their first performance in the greater Sandpoint area, drawing our largest crowd to date for our concert series." Kevin Mansoor, Ponderay Garden Center, outdoor amphitheater. August 11, 2012

Al Kitchel's drumming roots penetrated deep into the San Francisco rock and blues scene, doing shows with the likes of The Tubes and Earthquake. Besides performing and recording with The Baja Boogie Band, Al will be seen on occasion as a special guest with "The Pat Coast Band."

Quote: "Thanks for a great sold out show, people are stopping me on the street and telling me what a great time they had! Thanks again." Karen Forsythe, Di Luna's, Sandpoint Idaho, December 29

Johnny Knapp is known by  fans and musicians alike as one of the best guitar players to come out of the Northwest. He has played with most of the top musical talent in the area over the past thirty plus years. Johnny continues to perform and record in the US and Mexico, and almost always has a guitar in his hands . . . . It shows!!!

Quote: "The Baja Boogie Band is a group of highly talented gentlemen, and it was a genuine pleasure hosting them for the first time in Nelson, BC. Their enthusiasm for the music is contagious, and we look forward to working with them again." Paul Henricks, The Royal Concert Hall, Nelson, BC,  January 4,  2013.
